5/30/2017 2 Comments We Must Focus On Our OWN Journey Instead Of Walking The Paths Meant For Others!!!!!!!This has been a reoccurring thought that has come up in conversation, in a book that I am currently reading, and on television for the last week. I just knew that I had to write a blog about it!!! Often times, it can be very easy to want to do what everyone else is doing.....especially when they seem to be reaping amazing benefits and blessings in their lives!!! I must admit that in this world of blogging....it seems that everyone uses the same FORMULA to gain more followers which actually works for most. But for some reason, it never felt right IN MY SOUL to follow the masses and how THEY DO THINGS!! I probably have the LEAST following EVER in the blogging world. However, I can sleep at night knowing that I am blogging in a way that is AUTHENTIC TO WHO I AM. My path and journey is that of a different direction, lane, and purpose!! Don't get me wrong.....the HUMAN SIDE of me definitely understands why it is easy to FOLLOW THE MASSES and why many often do!!!
I recently encountered adult siblings who feel that it is important to follow the same blueprint that the oldest sibling set. I recognize that culture often plays a big part in this idea and plight. However, I shared in conversation that we all have our own paths, purposes, and gifts in life that require that we take different directions......and that is ABSOLUTELY OK!!! My ideal may be FOREIGN to some......but I SWEAR and LIVE BY IT!!!! As I always say.....instead of us FOCUSING ON WHAT EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING....lets put that same time and energy on discovering and developing what we have to offer the world!!!! I encourage us all to remind ourselves that we do not have to do what EVERYONE ELSE is doing!!!!! I welcome your feedback!!!!

This seemed like a very important distinction to make and it will help me as I go to take the next step on my path. Clarifications like this are crucial as I/we try to separate illusion from truth. Thank you for this light in the darkness.

I want to go back to running and competing again, but it is going to be hard. I was injured two years ago, and ever since then, I was never the same. I have been through rehab, but it is not enough. It will be a long journey back to competitions, but I want to do it. I want to keep getting better, and I do not care how long it takes. I live to run, that is my purpose in life.
