Sex And The City Thursdays......Interesting Yet Thought Provoking Moments!!!!!

Welcome back to another segment of Sex and the City Thursdays!!! Today's clip is very interesting yet SOMEWHAT DEEP. Charlotte ends up slightly dating a man who appears to have a lot of FEMININE TENDENCIES which is perplexing to her as he seems to be VERY attracted to her. Meanwhile, Miranda finds out that she has a lazy ovary which could affect her ability to have children. As she is on a dinner date the guy who she is on the date with had recently underwent a hair plug procedure and seems to be THRILLED about it lol! The one moment that Miranda shows vulnerability regarding what she is going through and what her fertility plan is, he becomes JUDGMENTAL! Now going back to Charlotte, she is willing to give it a try with this young suitor however, when he is afraid to catch a mouse and discard it she is quickly reminded of how much she prefers to have a MASCULINE man.

What I appreciate about this clip is the underlying message. Both Charlotte and Miranda were willing to settle for guys they would not normally date but were reminded that TRUE LOVE DOES NOT EQUATE TO SETTLING for someone who you KNOW is not right for you!

I remember when I was in high school one of my male friends liked me and would follow me around the way Steve Urkel did Laura Winslow on the sitcom Family Matters. After maybe a year or two of this.....he broke me down and I started dating him. What I failed to report is that he had feminine tendencies and mostly everyone in high school thought that he was gay. He however was very attracted to me and we dated for almost a year. He treated me like a princess and was very thoughtful and caring! However, deep down inside I knew that he was not meant for me. I think that I dated him for a WHILE because he treated me BETTER than my ex boyfriend who was the person I THOUGHT I WAS IN LOVE WITH LOL! Fast forward years later, I believe that he may be more into guys than women. I am glad that we ended up breaking up while we were in high school because it would not have been fair to continue to string one another along!

Ladies and gents.......lets be encouraged to WAIT ON TRUE LOVE and not settle for anything out of our own DESPERATION or FEAR OF BEING ALONE!
