Sex And The City Thursdays......Carrie Bradshaw And Her High School Sweetheart!!!!!!

Welcome back to another segment of Sex and the City Thursdays!!! Now I know that most of us remember having a HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEART!!! I also recognize that NOT MANY OF US actually married our high school sweetheart!!! I must admit that it is something that even I FANTASIZED about back in the day!!! But the way that life works.........may mean that we end up having long term committed relationships with the people we would least expect!

I also LOVE the point that Carrie made when she said that she had broken up with her high school sweetheart because she just knew that THERE WAS BETTER PROSPECTS OUT THERE FOR HER! However, she found herself in the COLD WORLD OF DATING for 20 years! I say this to say, that sometimes BETTER may not come around for a long time or even at all! So let's base our willingness to DATE and GO THE DISTANCE with the suitor who fits us the best!!

Sidebar, there are a lot of us who think along the lines as Charlotte where we feel that everyone that we date can be "the one". My unsolicited advice would be to TAKE YOUR TIME in getting to know someone and not rush the dating process along and let our fantasies cloud our BETTER JUDGEMENT!

What are your thoughts? Please share!!!!
