I have learned over the years that ANOTHER WAY TO A MAN'S HEART aside from cooking, bomb loving, and loyalty is also sharing their interest in sports....or at least being willing to learn!! My husband is a sports FANATIC and it was very beneficial that I grew up with a father and brother who were also sports FANATICS lol! I had a pretty good understanding of the game of basketball! In being with my husband over the last 10 years I learned about baseball and football. I watch a lot of basketball games with him in the house which is ACTUALLY QUITE FUN AND ENJOYABLE!
Ladies, I think that it is important for us to MAKE EFFORTS to tap into our man's world which include their interests. I do not think that it is right for us to only want our guys to embrace our interests and we not embrace theirs! If you happen to be dating a guy who is into sports.....my suggestion is that you start watching some of the games and trying to learn/understand the sport. This way, he will feel that you can connect with his interests as well. It will gain you some COOL POINTS when he sees that you actually took out the time to learn the sport. Or you can be open to him teaching you about basketball, football, baseball, hockey, boxing, and the list goes on! I would ask my husband so many questions about football and baseball as those were two sports that I was not as familiar with. He was PATIENT with me in explaining the rules and jargon of these sports! To my single ladies, this could also help you in the casual dating world! A lot of men who love sports are ATTRACTED to women EVEN MORE when they find out that you are down to kick it with them while watching the game! Sidebar, as I am writing this blog my husband and I are watching the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New York Knicks battle it out lol! I really LOVE watching the games with my husband!! It's another way to BOND! Would you be willing to learn more about sports if you are not familiar? What is your perspective?
