I like to open the floor to the level of conversation that most of us do not wish to have with ourselves or anyone else. I found this clip to be very interesting as Steve Harvey, in my opinion, makes some valid points. I must admit that I have always questioned whether men and women could really "just be friends" especially in adulthood. I think that it can easily become a slippery slope because someone will always want more than a platonic friendship deep down inside. For me.......my husband, the family that I acquired on his side, brother, cousins, and father are all the male "friends" that I need. They can provide me with the male advice and interaction without me putting myself in a compromising situation. That devil is always waiting to sew seeds of deceit and temptation. As a married woman, I prefer to not engage in friendships with the opposite sex as my husband ultimately FILLS THAT PLACE of not only male companionship but also FRIENDSHIP. Now as I always say, my perspective is not bible it is just my opinion. I am not bashing or judging those who disagree with this viewpoint. I think that it is an IMPORTANT and INTERESTING conversation to be had!
What are your thoughts on this UBER CONTROVERSIAL TOPIC? Do you agree or disagree with Steve Harvey's perspective?
